Yes. They are considered marine fish. However there are a certain bi-pedal species who are scoundrels on land.
They breathe through gill slits, and don’t have to come up to the surface to breathe air. However, they do have to keep moving so that the water goes through the gills regularly. If they get caught in fishermen’s nets, they can drown. However there are some sharks who have adapted to be able to lay on the bottom, so long as there is a current pushing water through their mouths over the gills.
